The more aware we become, the more effective we can be parents and healers, activists and artists, and the richer our experience of life. This course helps us expand our awareness of the magical patterns of relationship, cause and effect around us, while deepening our awareness of reason and purpose, relevance and ramification. Taught by Jesse Wolf Hardin Suggested Length: 10 to 16 Weeks Prerequisites: Sensory Awakeness (You would also do well to first take the preparatory “Journey Begins”) Awareness is one of the most precious opportunities and essential life practices, determining in part the richness, health and even length of our finite existence. It is vital for presence, necessary to notice and learn, to discern and evaluate, understand and appreciate. It’s crucial when it comes to avoiding accidents or improving technique, defending ourselves or our loved ones from attack or getting the most from our exposure to a potent work of art. It is an ingredient that we cannot do without, if we are to truly taste the intermingled flavors of our food or fully savor each available moment, to heal ourselves or others. The better we become at being aware, the better choices we make, the better we are able to give, and the more wondrous and useful what we are given. Awareness is optionally – and ideally – our simultaneous work, art and reward. This Anima course teaches 7 Elements of Awareness... elemental not in the sense of inert ingredients, but in the same way that air, fire, water and earth are all energetically interconnected and interactive, feeding, informing and enabling each other. Each of these elements are stages that we don’t move on from, but rather, that we incorporate, integrate and utilize: 1. Awakening, Becoming Conscious 2. Self Awareness & Plumbing the Subconscious 3. Awareness of the World, Noticing & Orienting 4. Awareness of Self in Place, Relationship & Dynamic 5. Awareness of the Past & Future, and Our Present Place Within Them 6. Awareness of the Unitary Presence of Past & Future, & the Interconnective Continuousness of the Anima 7. Awareness of Our Need – and the World’s – For Us to Initiate Action or Respond Assignments include usable tools for apportioning attention while inspiring recognition of ongoing patterns and our place in them. Here you will find necessary as well as enlightening aids for your committed journey of ever greater awareness... awareness of the world we are an inseparable part of, the world we choose to consciously co-create. There are abundant benefits to the course and practice, including: • Learning, strengthening and applying the 3 Fundamentals necessary for awareness • Developing the ability to deliberately adjust focus like on a camera or binocular, zooming in and out as needed • Becoming intensely aware of our whole beings, conscious of our bodily conditions, needs, propensities, blessings, challenges and potential • Becoming more aware of and able to read the physical conditions, moods, energies and intentions of others... including family members, associates and clients • Being able to “read between the lines,” read body language, and distinguish innuendo • Becoming alert to signs, markers, suggestions, signatures and patterns • Becoming better at recognizing and understanding the motivations behind cultivated illusions, misrepresentations and lies • Recognizing and understanding deep interrelational levels, whether evaluating and restoring the land in the role of Naturalist or Earth-Tender, diagnosing illness as a Village Healer or Medicine Woman, counseling as a Mentor, or determining the most powerful course of action as an activist Rebel • Developed awareness of the patterns of cause and effect, intention and consequence • Learning to recognize and avoid or overcome the 5 Most Common Obstacles to awareness • Learning to recognize and avoid or overcome the 7 Most Egregious Filters blocking clear awareness and perception • Defining, developing and utilizing discernment • Determining what ways, behaviors, situations, relationships etc. result in a constriction of our awareness, and then changing our lives so as to minimize or eliminate the unhealthful and unhelpful • Determining what ways, behaviors, situations, relationships etc. excite or contribute to an expansion or deepening of our awareness, and then starting to alter our lives so as to increase their influence • Greater awareness of increasing dimensions How aware we are is a matter of how much we notice, how broadly we perceive, and how deeply we understand. As an Anima practice, awareness is intentionally noticing/engaging as many aspects of ourselves and the world around us as possible, consciously making choices as to how much attention and focus to give each element, each moment. . . |
