The Journey Begins:

An invaluable preparatory course for all Anima students, including students of the healing arts – featuring in-depth orientation and self-exploration, inspiring us to define and spell-out our personal principles and code of honor, making us ever more effective on our chosen path.

Taught by Jesse Wolf Hardin and Kiva Rose

Suggested Length: 8 to 14 Weeks

Prerequisites: None (We recommend you consider taking this introductory course as preparation for any others)

You have found a powerful if challenging place to begin your long and fulfilling journey, studies and tools that will help you with every other course you take, and help deepen, clarify and empower every thing you ever do in this life.

Here we have a course that takes us to the very root of the Anima Tradition, a nature-informed study and practice, while at the same time provoking radically honest self-exploration, orientation and activation. Its questions lead us to plumb the depths of our being, revisiting our natural needs, obstacles, abilities, blessings, gifts... while helping us discover or re-energize our most meaningful purpose. And its assignments prompt us to make use of every new insight or reaffirmed truth, getting beyond any illusions or habits that hold us back, moving into personal wholeness, and in the direction of maximum effectiveness no matter what our art, practice, mission or goal.

• Orienting in self and place, defining our intent, committing to our direction

• Discovering or rediscovering our most whole, authentic self

• Exploring our natural needs, propensities, honest weaknesses, true strengths, hard earned wisdom, and special gifts

• Defining and understanding the essential principles of the Anima approach

• Defining, understanding and learning to live by our own personal principles

• Creating a traditional, personal code of honor

• Exposing the disempowering illusions, self-limiting ways of perceiving and behaving common to our paths

• Further defining and focusing our intentions

• Empowering and equipping our roles, missions and goals

• Exploring and increasingly committing to a personal most meaningful purpose

Whether your field and focus is herbal, shamanic, nature awareness or or other lifeways, and however you intend to affect the world this course can be the springboard to becoming the most effective learner and practitioner possible!
